reading a book
the suns first rays
through the curtain

spring sunset
glass towers
blend in

I deliver the last load of sheets for the day. A supervisor tells me one of the housekeepers has quit, as she has just been diagnosed with breast cancer.
the work day ends
in the spring breeze
a pink ribbon

film credits
seated in popcorn crumbs
an outline of legs

police sirens
wailing in the distance
a curlew

the couple on a park bench
share a cigarette

long walk home
with me all the way
the moon

crossing the river
at midnight
the cold wind cheers me on
