haiku three one six.

Hello all!

a floodlit lawn
on the curlews wing
a drop of rain

smiles are gifts
all these crows feet,
I’m too giving

And a tanka (of sorts) inspired by Saigyo.

As I leave work
the town hall clock strikes twelve
if I’m not struck
by a bus
I will hear it again tomorrow

Thanks for reading!

  1. Steven Myers says:

unless someone slings a shoe into the clock tower,
    but i hope not.
love sounds everyone hears as one.
