haiku three zero eight.

Hello all!
The first haiku is an unfinished haiku, a first draft if you will. Basically I’m not satisfied with it, yet felt the need to include it in today’s haiku entry.

early morning
checking the hotel grounds
the pigeon

a cut grass smell
dark clouds overshadow
the sunset

Thanks for reading!

    the pigeon.
i like that. sounds like a particular pigeon
that people on the hotel grounds know.
i think you’ve written about a myna bird in that way before after
noticing one as a new arrival in a particular place. birds probably think
we humans all look the same.
