haiku two zero one.

Hello all!

I will give a bit of a dairy/journal entry here, as I’ve had such a great weekend!

Firstly on Saturday morning I collected my friend from the airport, and took her straight to Jam jar for breakfast, where she had a bloody mary, which she really needed after a particularly tedious flight from Auckland. Then we headed to the Laneway festival, which was my christmas present to her. The bands we enjoyed were: The pains of being pure at heart, Austra, Active child, Anna Calvi, Twin shadow, The Horrors, and M83 who came on 50mins late, and then only got to play a 40min set, oh well.

Sunday morning we picked up a rental car from Budget, and headed up to the Sunshine coast to go to Noosa, via Breakfast at It’s Rawsome cafe, a raw vegan cafe in Rosemount. It’s in the middle of nowhere in an idyllic spot next to a duck pond. Needless to say we got lost and by the time we found it, we were hangry, and ate ourselves silly. Then we headed to Noosa and had a swim, and tried to body surf, but just generally got thrown about by the waves. Then we headed to Harajuku gyoza in Fortitude valley for gyozas, and a green tea, and she had a beer. Then we were exhausted so we went home to bed, instead of going to drinks with some friends of mine.

Monday breakfast was at Little Larder in New Farm. Then a trip to Ikea, before we knew it it was time to head to the airport.
