haiku one eight one.

Hello all!

Today was the second hot day of the summer. It was so humid last night I didn’t sleep well at all! I was in a constant half sleep/half awake state. And today it was boiling at work! Imagine pushing a tonne of linen around in a sauna. But at the end of the day we went over to a friends house, and she cooked us some amazing pizzas, and made a very tasty pear and cashew salad, which involved truffle oil!

evening stars

smoke rises through

the scarlet wattle

full moon

the crickets song

seems joyous

waiting for a bus

the full moon moves

behind a cloud

a yellow face

at the bus stop

full moon

Thanks for reading!

  1. We are a month into winter here in the USA. In fact, I think its going to snow within the next hour. I still want to see Australia, I may put that on my bucket list.

Funnily enough the state of Victoria just had a midsummer cold snap, right after having a heatwave! Some snow even fell on the ski fields there! Pretty amazing considering a few years ago they had a pretty horrific bush fire.

  2. I wish I lived near mountains. We woke up to about n inch of snow this morning, my area’s first snow of the season.
