haiku one thirty two.

Hello all!

Well I had a very unproductive day. Although did go to Ole (a recently opened Spanish restaurant in Southbank) for breakfast, saw We need to talk about Kevin; Tilda Swinton marvelous as always, and Rockstar a very confused Bollywood movie, although I think Ranbir Kapoor made a good effort with his performance. The rest of the day was spent laughing my ass off over at damn you auto correct! So I have only one haiku from today, and some re-edits from Sundays ginko.

the crow flies up

city buildings fall

away beneath her

rubbish

in the lily pond

catfish eyes

manicured lawn

the palm trees

dare not sway

five striped deck chairs

Chinese tourists leave

their shoes on

scarlet wattle

a woman performs

the downward dog

Thanks for reading!

Peace.

haiku bear. i really enjoy your work here. the diary-like gush followed by haiku–
it’s like world and dream..super potent duo.
the crow flying up with buildings falling away is spectacular.

Thanks! That particular poem came when I read a poem in the haiku anthology. I basically changed a few words. But it was one of those moments when it came in a flash of inspiration. I was going to post the original too, but I forgot.
