Haiku one hundred.

Hello all!

Well thoroughly enjoyed John Waters double features from hell at the Sydney opera house today! Terror was United 93, a harrowing experience of the plane that crashed en route to the hijackers destination of the white house, in a field killing all, on 911. Astonishing filmmaking of the highest order! See it, if only just once. Then it was Waters own film Cecil B Demented! A film which I own on DVD but had almost written off, it was great to see it on the big screen, and makes me want to watch it again. Goddess featured Boom with Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and Noel Coward, and inexplicably a dwarf body-guard on an island! Truly baffling, and brilliant! Even one of the dialogues from Burton’s character almost could be written as haiku:

Boom

the shock of each moment

of still being alive.

Then Armando Bo’s Fuego! About a writhing undulating nymphomaniac and her misogynistic lover. With a lesbian thrown in for good measure! Truly mind-boggling!

morning walk

church bells toll

through traffic

opera house

a long time since I’ve smelt

the ocean

squid ink sky

bats hit the

river highway

Oh and as promised here’s my first haiku from blog one, to celebrate my 100th blog, and day of haiku! It even has a title.

Return flight.

On a cold dark night

Through the window, little lights

Shining on flat lands.

Thanks for reading!

Peace.
